This page explains what happens to information you enter into the Copper Finch AI Prompt Constructor at builder.thecopperfinch.com (“the Constructor”). It is written to be read, not to be waded through.
The Constructor is operated by [INSERT REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], a company registered in England and Wales (company number [INSERT NUMBER]), registered office [INSERT REGISTERED ADDRESS], trading as Copper Finch. For any privacy question, contact us at [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL].
The Constructor uses your browser’s local storage — not cookies — to make the tool work. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser data or using the “Clear all” button on the site. We store:
Because this information is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, and is not used for analytics, advertising or tracking, we do not show a cookie consent banner.
When you choose to use AI sharpening, the text of your prompt is sent to Google’s Gemini API, which returns an improved version. This only happens when you actively click the button — building, saving and copying prompts all work without sending anything anywhere.
Google processes this text under its own terms and privacy policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not store the text of your prompts on our servers, and we do not keep a copy of what you send or receive.
When you use AI sharpening, our server briefly processes your IP address in memory in order to apply the fair-use limit and protect the service from abuse. This is not written to a database, is not linked to you as an individual, and is not retained. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for security and operational purposes, as is normal for any website.
If you use the “Copy share link” feature, the prompt is encoded inside the link itself. Nothing is uploaded to us. Anyone with that link can read the prompt, so please don’t share links containing anything private.
Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data we hold about you. Because we do not hold accounts, names, email addresses or saved prompts, in practice there is very little for us to hold. If you believe we hold information about you and wish to access, correct or erase it, contact [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
The Constructor is intended for use by adults and is not directed at children.
We may update this page as the tool develops. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
